A career and Counseling Cell at North Lakhimpur College has been established with the financial assistance from UGC for offering career counseling to students and guiding the young minds by helping them to understand their strength by providing them with requisite know how of the emerging trends in different fields. The Cell is presently co ordinated bya  Placement & Informtation Officer, who himself is an expert on entrepreneurship, which provides a balance on guiding the students to go for self employment apart from higher studies and jobs.

The Cell also offers the following services to the students:

1. Guidance on identify a promising career options/develop a career plan.
2. Training for interview and job skills.
3. Make arrangement for campus interview for placement.
4. Provide entrepreneurship incubation for self employement.
5. Collaborate with coaching institutes for providing guidance on competitive examinations.
6. Career and personal guidance.
7. Provide students with books relating to career options.
8. Organize seminars and workshops on career guidance by inviting professionals to help the students in choosing their career goals.
9. Help to select an institute that offers a degree or training program that best meets the career goals and financial needs of the students.
