admission procedure

Requirements and Procedure for Admission:

Application for admission to the college is to be made in the prescribed forms available along with the prospectus. College prospectus is issued immediately after the announcement of HSLC/HS results. One should carefully read the prospectus before filling up the forms. The admission forms can be detached from the prospectus and completely filled up form is to be submitted to the college office on the notified date. Admission to the college and hostels is strictly on merit and subject to approval of the principal. There is reservation for SC, ST and OBC students as per government of Assam regulations. There is sport and music quota for admission into various classes (the exact number of seats is determined by the admission committee). Students with outstanding quality in such fields may apply to the principal directly in a plain sheet of paper with all supporting documents and certificates.

NB :

  1. The NCTE regulations shall be applicable for admission into the B.PEd. programme.
  2. The dates of interview for admission to various classes are notified in advance. A list of eligible candidates for admission will be put up on the college notice board before the day of interview.
  3. Students who are admitted on sports and music quota will have to sow their performances as and when necessary failing which their admission will be cancelled. Interview and admission will take place on the same day.

The candidates will have to be present personally in the following documents and papers:

  1. Original/provisional pas certificates from the head of the institution last attended.
  2. Certificate of date of birth
  3. Mark sheets (original)
  4. Gap period certificate from appropriate persons, if required.
  5. Required amount of fees etc.

The selected candidates must get themselves admitted on the very day of interview. Failure to turn up will forfeit the claim for admission.

The college reserves the right to deny admission to any one without giving any reason.
