The Department of Computer Science of the North Lakhimpur College(Autonomous) was established in the year of 2002. Since its inception the Department provides a versatile platform for all students in vibrant subjects with academic depth and also plays a significant role for the College Administration helping in various technological works. In 2006 the Department started the major program BCA. In 2013 the Department introduced PGDCA course with quality education. The UGC scheme Community College Project is also introduced in 2015 under Computer Science Department. The Department has 2 Computer Lab with a number of well configured computers with Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity. The Department also have digitized classroom. Moreover the Faculty of the Department provides a level best effort with a group of energetic students to stand in the Computer era with some innovative ideas. As the 21st century looms ahead we must accept the inevitability of a computer revolution in the near future.

Mission: Impart quality undergraduate and graduate education and training in computer science so that students can apply this education to solve the real-world problems effectively thus amplifying their potential for continuous high-quality careers and give them a competitive advantage in the transforming and challenging global work environment.
